The interior system (Regulation)

Dear student,

1.     Tomorrow you’ll get involved in the Lebanese society to help grow and develop it. Your democratic rights are faced by your duties as a good citizen. Since school days, you start exercising both, your rights and your duties. The school like other societies requires appropriate behauorism and common life. For this reason, the interior system is placed to lead to a full respect to God and human being in the society you belong to.

2.     Politeness

2.1.                      Our students are distinguished by their politeness, when dealing with each other, their cleaners and their simplicity. As for physical appearance, short is only work during a sport activity. Also earrings, long hair and growing beards don’t suit you as a student in the school.

2.2.                      The classrooms and their furniture, the playgrounds and the areas covered with green gars are all at the service of the scholastic group. Keeping them in good condition will show how noble your manners are and how high your family background is.

3.     Pluralism

3.1.                      The Lebanese society is characterized by its highly respect to the pluralism of religion and thought. Therefore, keeping a congenial atmosphere and a pure atmosphere is mostly wanted for school work to run in a natural way and avoiding any sort of conflict whether religions or political.

3.2.                      Since the religions formations are mainly attached to the Christian schools, we ask the Christian students for an effective participation in barring the bible and sharing in church ceremonies.

4.     The transportation service by the school bus.

The school provides transportation for its students by its buses. Students are asked to behave politely inside the buses, and those who violate the law discipline and politeness will be deprived from transportation service.

5.     Private cars

5.1.                      The owners of the private cars used in transportation, are asked to comply with the traffic rules inside the school and react positively towards the school instructions.

5.2.                      The school main gates remain open for half an hour after the school day is over and the students have to gather in front of the school entrance in the place prepared for them.

5.3.                      Students are forbidden from coming to school driving their parents’ cars or their own cars, and we hope that the students and their parents understand and accept this wise decision.

6.     Promotion

6.1.                      The student, who gets half of the annual grand total of grades, will be promoted to a higher grade (class).

6.2.                      The administrative board of Education at the school specifies the required percentage in order to be promoted in both languages, Arabic and French and in Math and Science. Students and their parents will be informed about the percentage decided by a written circular.

6.3.                      Less than 7/20 in any of the mentioned materials will be cancel any promotion.

6.4.                      A student whose annual average is most above 6/20 will not be allowed to repeat his class or if his age doesn’t snit the acceptable age in the repeated class.

6.5.                      The class board has the right to separate any student from school once he misbehaves, shows bad manners or for continuous laziness.

7.     Breaking the rules and the regulations.

We do our best to awake the sense of responsibility in every student and urge him to use the dialogue instead of violent acts, but we are sometimes obliged to take very strike measures.

7.1.                      A student, who leaves his class as a punishment, must go straight to the responsible office and can never return to his class unless he is allowed to.

7.2.                      Any student, who receives three warnings for wrong and bad behaving, will be punished by lowering his conduct point. Also the parents will be warned in case such acts are repeated, the school will take serious measures against their son.

7.3.                      The student has the right to draw a conversation with the responsible to settle down any misunderstanding and fir the whole situation again.

7.4.                      The following cases are considered serious which might lead to separation:

(1) Religions and political disturbances which might confuse the general atmosphere and lead to troubles.

(2) Bad mannered activities are forbidden at the school such as bringing cheap and low mannered magazine or other publication.

(3) Rudeness and breaking the rules and the regulations of the school

 

Our dear student,

      We aimed from the above instructions to preserve the educative interest at school. Also to create the very right atmosphere which help the students work with great comfort and relaxation and this will strengthen the system and the congeniality among students who double their effort for a much better success.

N.B.: The school is always ready to help the students who need money aids on condition that they are polite and diligent.

 

 

-         The committee of parents should show a high interest in the educative policy of the school and also participate the school within its rights and limits.

-         For example, the brothers and the civilians are united and they all line as brothers. The dialogues and the daily initiatives no matter how small they are can help in overcoming difficulties. Also the regular meetings help by both, must be placed in the form of a calendar at the beginning of the year.

-         Sharing, mutual welcome, frankness, listening and sharing in sadness and joy are all essential elements in tighten the brotherhood and develop it. Therefore, all should believe that though dialogue and participation things work out successfully. We should remember that.

-         Solidarity: All are responsible towards each other through solidarity and participation, and the relationship should always be an easy going one between the school administration and the teachers.

-         Students committees: Students enjoy the feeling of being respected and beloved like in the Attic. The educative family helps them build up committees represent them whether in class division and the school. The descending order of these committees is: Administration board, division board and class board are all opened to represent the different sectors of the educative family. Mutual organizing in rights and qualifications and frankness in dealing and placing things in their appropriate places, is a highly manner behavior.

-          The educative principles: A better educator for a better education, this is what the Lasallian school aims to achieve. All efforts, talents and consciences work together to establish the best.

-         Development: The educators benefit from all discoveries, experiences and methods. They are brave enough to face any judgments. Being qualified they willing accept to reconsider any educational situation that has been taken by them at earlier time, and always ready to learn more and more for the sake of much better achievements.

-         A Free person: The Lasallian School intends to help its students to reach a free and independent thinking and exercise their freedom and employ their smartness and their qualifications in the service of others. Also on listening, understanding, trust, love and to enjoy the real sense of justice, brotherhood and fidelity. (Christian brothers’ schools item 41).

-         Development of personality: Of the many goals the Lasallian School aims at, is the trust in the youth carrying responsibilities, and helps them reach the self control and group achievements like art, scientific, social and athletic ones. Also urge them help the deprived societies and commit to the spiritual and prophetic life. For all these goals, club of arts, sports and culture are opened for them. They also take special care of the youth and denote them the persons, time and means. They also try to discover leaders among them and help them develop their talents and practice them.

-         Justice and cooperation: The solidarity with the public and needy class urges the Lasallian School to help its student’s feel the justice and effective cooperation with their brothers, the humans. It also encourages the Christian students to undertake the social learning of the church.

-         To Be: The Lasallian School trains the student to learn with full awareness and understanding. It also urges him to acquire away of knowledge, so he knows to be, to live and to work.

-         Languages: The Lasallian School is aware of the great benefit of languages in LEBANON, so it works hard to make these languages a mean of speech, a culture for the student and a way to make living.

-         Human sciences: The Lasallian School also tries to restore for the human sciences their level in developing the thought, the heart and the person, all together.

-         The research and the team work: The Lasallian School intends to activate the way of research in learning and encouraging the work within an organized team.

-         Failing defect: The number of the failing students during the scholastic year is quite big and it is most possible for the school to ignore such a problem. Those in charge are responsible to find the reasons in order to reach a scientific and fair solution for this problem.

-         Following up and Evaluation: Following up and evaluation should take place at all the educative levels regardless the class, the division and the stage. And also each of the studying materials and the administration. This twin aims to achieve certain establishments or other educational activities.

-         The Lasallian School is quite opened on other schools and it also deeply concerns in mature and environmental elements.

-         The media: The Lasallian School is quite aware of the importance of the media in the world of the youth as it aware of the importance of the media in the world of the youth as it awakens their senses in critiquing their reality and it is also used in education.

-         Conflict:  Our world has been attracted by two opposite currents. While different religions and cultures are getting closer to each other, we see great conflicts of racism, culture and very fanatic religions one are taking place.

-         Brotherhood: Our school aims to let every individual to be opened on others fortunes and let brotherhood live among multinational society. The school also works on developing his freedom and has him capable to face all the precious verdicts and all kinds of dishonesty and short sighting.

-         Commitment: The school hopes to develop the sense of responsibility of its students, their social political and religious commitments. So they will become very dependable citizens who are always to ready to give and never retreat.

-         Reporting a message: DE LA SALLE founded the monastery of the Christian schools brotherhood “Apiece of heaven” and a mean to salvation. It contains all kinds of students’ regardless their religious and respect their beliefs.

-         Faith: The Lasallian School is based on the trust in God, and on trust in human being also a trust in the self. The Lasallian School once committed to report the message of faith; it does so according to its full educative understanding.

-         A committed faith:  Since the Lebanese faith is close to be theoretical than practical, the school intends to help more him line according to what he believes to be right and loyalty.

-         Various religions: The Lasallian School pays great attention to its non-Christian students in our country as well as in many other countries. It works on building constructive dialogue written the respect of one’s personality and belief.

Providing that meeting of young people of various religions in an atmosphere of congeniality and freedom is a sort of dialogue and a call for solidarity and common responsibility.

Providing that friendship which combined strongly among them is of great influence which own comes many of the life; obstacles. The Lasallian School provides a special learning for the non-Christian students, or facilitates that religion.

-         Dialogue and announcement: The dialogue and the announcement are two different experiences for prophecy. The dialogue creates an opportunity for mutual respect, get to know each other and share a group of common values. The announcement displays the word in theory and in practice as a life testimony with in a full respect to the freedom of the conscience and the belief.

-         Raising Christians: The Lasallian School shows Jesus Christ to the Christian> It says the right word in the right place and it urges the students to follow a way of living that matches with the Bible. It is also the quality of the teachers educative relationship is a simple, ordinary, but deep announcement.

-         The style and the personality of the Lasallian School:

·        The Lasallian family :

a.     The convention of the brotherhood Christian schools that was held in 1993 felt the participation of the civilians in the spiritualism of DE LA SALLE and his educative style. So the convention gave them the opportunity to share in its works and announced that the common message with those civilians is one of the most essentials calls of the brothers themselves. Thus the civilians share the brothers in the spirit of the faith which let them see God himself in through the student. So they love and serve him the way they serve and love God.

b.     Devotion: Both the brothers and the civilians show great devotion and enthusiasm towards the salvation of the generations, and this needs qualification, professional and honest conscience so that the students feel the warmth of the good treatment.

c.      Members of the Lasallian family: The who are inspired by the spiritualism of DE LA SALLE in their judgments and situations and share him in his educative style and those who are fully adopted,during their study  by this spiritualism and this style are members of the Lasallian family, Monks, nuns, teachers, parents, students, ancient students and a civilian monastery founded by one of the brothers. This family ought to live as brothers among its members.

·        The educative family the school:

Every school has its own educative family. It consists of the principal, his deputies, teachers and staff in the school. Along with the students and their parents, the advisors, the physician, the social deputies, psychologist and others.

·        The class titular (adviser): The titular has a special role or different distinguished from the roles of other teachers. The Lasallian School sees his role as a titular has comprehensive soul, aware, listener, indicator, guide and accept criticism. Therefore, choosing him takes a lot of wisdom and distinction where he is totally responsible for all that concerns the class.

·        Spiritual stimulant: The spiritual stimulant in the school is a man of faith, devotion and dedication. He reminds, awake, urges the teachers and the students. Besides he organizes all different occasions at the school like meetings for teachers who teach the bible some other events.

·        Educative aid: All the students, especially the young ones, have the right to get help in order to line. This help is offered by a specialist whether he is a titular, a guide or a psychologist.

·        The parents: The relationship between the parents and their school has to be combined firmly where they share in putting the time schedule whether in the administration or with the teachers. This will help them offer their needs and consult their partners in the educative process. The school also organizes meetings for them to exchange experience, and they are always welcomed at the school. The educative project for the Christian schools in Lebanon

 

Introduction:

The Lasallians, with respect to the St John DE LA SALLE, are 8000 brothers of the brotherhood of the Christian schools. Also nuns carry this name who were founded by brothers, and 50000 civilian teachers, men and women where they all dedicate themselves to raise the young in more than 80 countries. Their leader and father in this mission, a genius and a saint called Jean Baptist DE LA SALLE. If you were a brother at the Christian school, or a teacher in their schools, man or woman do your best to raise the young in a perfect way for the sake of a more just society and pure happiness.

 

A realistic look

I live in a Lebanese society which I see, hear and share its worminess and willing to serve. The Lebanese society is of various religions and cultures, and traditional with its familial and social links. But it is opened on everything new.

The Lebanese society is quite exhausted because of the long war and also confused economically, but despite all this society is eager to know and learn and ready to spend the most expensive.

The Lebanese young people are many and they suffer the pain of war and its consequences. Those young people are not at all pleased with what the high officials and politicians have done to the country. They relieve all kinds of media which swings between contradicting currents, extremities and liberated ones. The Lebanese young people were born believers they are also friendly and trust worthy.

 

A look of faith

My mission is a message from God, from church and from the nation. I believe that God love this young generation and intend to help them get the salvation of the spirit, the body and the culture. Also have mercy on them and enlighten their hearts to earn the eternal life.

 

A school values

The value of what is precious, what is good and all what takes a human being to the best. But the value might become self centered and a person consider himself as a judge and a reference where he decides what is good and what is bad. His decision will be greatly affected by his likes and his interests. The value could differ from one person to another and from one society to another.

-         God is the value of values: As for me, I, the Lasallian teacher, God is my guide. He is the highest value among all values followed directly by the human being who is a very similar remembrance.

-         All values are at the service of the human being, we arrange them as follows:

                                                                              ii.            Value of manners: conscience, honesty, freedom, loyalty, …

                                                                            iii.            Value of behaviorism: smartness, justice, strengths, conviction, …

                                                                           iv.            Social values: peace, justice, solidarity, work, power, service, participation, discipline, …

                                                                             v.            Spiritual values: faith, hope, love, praying, ….

The educative options of the Lasallian School

-         Fulfill the needs of the society: We have tried to make a brief description of the properties of the Lebanese society and its young generation. The Lasallian teacher is asked to discover that its real contents through his personal experience.

-         Environment: The teacher has to go deep in this environment without any previous judgment, so he feels the needs by himself and their reality.  He should communicate with others and be patient while listening.

-         People: A one of the Lasallian properties is mixing up the public, feel its complaints and hear its calls. The Lasallian School prepares the programs which are of great help to the society and the interest of the student.

-         Discovering the student: The Lasallian teacher works hard to know every student and discover his qualifications. Also his familial environment, his social, his tastes and his spiritual situations in order to understand him, love him and accompany him in the best way.
