Launching the Academic Year 2009-2010

In order to prepare preparing the beginning of the school year after the long vacations, the teachers were convoked to an assembly on Friday, 11 September at 8:30.

During the day, the activities were distributed over three periods of time.

First period: the divine service was celebrated for the sake of the teachers and the students. During the service and after the Bible, the group “Signum Fidei” in the college renewed before the altar their commitment for one year

Second period: After the coffee-break, two orators spoke successively.

At first, Brother Visitor George ABSI, stressed the role of the Lasallian Educator in the building of the student’s human personality through the acceptance of others, the tolerance, and the service accorded to the most unprovided people and to the society.

Then Mr. Salim Gereige, the Principal, talked about the project of the institution: the actions that had been undertaken and what had remained to be accomplished later.

Finally, he announced the work to be done in the third period of time.

Third period: After collation, the teachers were divided, first into mixed groups and then in groups by Educator’s Charge Booklet. Observations from different groups were mentioned before the assembly and a written report was submitted by each group to the Principal to be later presented to the CPLL.
